Patient Testimonials and Reviews
As for Dr. Jones, you don’t find those types of doctors nowadays. Dr. Jones is just amazing and he saved my son’s life.
Bernice Smith, mother of Calvin “Tony” Johnson
Dr. Keith Jones performed vascular surgery on my son Calvin “Tony” Johnson after he became unstable due to a large thoracic aortic pseudoaneurysm. Dr. Jones is amazing and I truly think he’s one of the greatest doctors I have ever met. He was there for my son Tony.
I took Tony to a hospital emergency room where a CAT scan showed he had an aneurysm. Dr. Jones was on-call at Delray Medical Center providing care to another individual so Tony was flown by helicopter to the hospital. Dr. Jones was waiting for Tony and, as soon as we got there, he explained everything to us. This was of the utmost importance to me because Tony is a cerebral pasly patient and physically requires around-the-clock nursing care. Tony arrived at the hospital, and before going and being placed under Dr. Jones care, had unstable blood pressure, urosepsis and the large aneurysm bulging dangerously in his body’s main artery.
Dr. Jones made me feel comfortable. It actually put me at ease when Dr. Jones told me that he had to do emergency surgery on my son. Dr. Jones said I’m going to give it all I got and Tony’s going to be all right. This all happened during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout that night, Dr. Jones performed surgery on my son. He repaired the aneurysm with a minimally-invasive thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) procedure via a thoracic stent.
I stayed up all night and prayed for Tony. In the morning, his nurse called to tell me Dr. Jones would call me soon to give an update. Dr. Jones called me right away and told me everything was fine, the surgery went well and that they took care of the problem. He said my son is in good hands and recovering.
At the time, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, loved ones couldn’t even go in to see the patient, but a nurse caring for Tony connected with me so I could Facetime with my son after he recovered from surgery. An amazing relief came over us at the time and everything seemed to be be working out for us.
The surgical team was wonderful. I’ve never had that type of experience at a hospital before. The staff was great and really took the time to care for my son as a patient. It changed my mind on the hospital experience. The case worker was excellent too. Dr. Jones was insistent on Tony getting home soon so he really wasn’t in the hospital very long. It was a fantastic experience.
As for Dr. Jones, you don’t find those types of doctors nowadays. Dr. Jones is just amazing and he saved my son’s life. Tony had the surgery over the weekend and by Monday we were in Dr. Jones’ office for a follow-up appointment to double check Tony’s health.
The building where Dr. Jones’ office is located in West Palm Beach is handicap accessible and was convenient to get in and out of which is important for us. The office receptionist was kind and I was able to talk to them about my experience and get everything I needed. They really took the time to talk to me and Tony. Dr. Jones’ office and our experience at the hospital changed my mind about healthcare. Dr. Jones and his staff really take care of their patients. My son had a great experience and an incredible outcome under the care of Dr. Jones. Overall, I would give Dr. Jones, his office and the hospital a 100 percent score. If I had to, I would fly from California to have my son under the care of Dr. Jones, I wouldn’t hesitate. That’s how highly I think of Dr. Jones as a physician.
